MCAS New River, Jacksonville, NC, June 25, 2008: — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that J.F. Taylor, Inc. achieved ready for training status for the CH-53E WST device 2F174-1 located at MCAS New River. Aechelon Technology provided pC-NOVA™ image generators and databases. J. F. Taylor was awarded the CH-53E WST contract to upgrade the trainer visual systems under NAVAIR’s Training System Contract II (TSC II).
Aechelon Technology provided its pC-NOVA v3.5 image generators (IGs), integrated with the host computer using the CIGI 3.1 interface, and developing and publishing Navy Portable Source Initiative databases and models.
The pC-NOVA IGs display five channels of OTW visual or stimulated NVG, two FLIR channels for the AN/AAQ-29A FLIR as well as one Enhanced Aircrew Externals Trainer (EAET) channel. The pC-NOVA system features Aechelon Technology’s pC-NOVA software-based runtime engine for flight training applications and C-RADIANT™ plug-in module for geo-specific, physics-based, multi-sensor image generation support.
