San Francisco, Calif. – September 28, 2017, Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), has awarded it a contract for two Virtual Reality (VR) Database Familiarization Stations. The VR Database Familiarization Station is a high-end, deskside PC running pC-NOVA with support for the Oculus Rift VR headset. It allows a single user using an Oculus headset to view and interact with Aechelon visual databases in an immersive environment. The technology will be used in support systems both at NAWCTSD Orlando and Naval Air Station Whiting Field.
Aechelon Technology will also provide high fidelity multi-spectral visual databases and a variety of airfields from its extensive library already being used on existing U.S. DoD programs.
