Zurich, Switzerland – November 16, 2023 — Aechelon Technology Inc. participated with the team celebrating the commissioning of Rega’s newly developed helicopter and jet simulators at Lufthansa Aviation Training Switzerland (LAT) in Opfikon. In the future, LAT will operate the simulators on behalf of Rega and offer free capacities to third-party customers.

Rega is a Swiss air-rescue organization with helicopters and ambulance jets flying over 13,000 rescue missions annually. The helicopter simulator of the company Reiser Simulation and Training GmbH (RST) can be equipped with three different cockpits (Airbus H145 and H125 as well as Leonardo AW169). The H145 cockpit was in operation at the event.

The training device includes a multi-platform Level D helicopter full-flight simulator (FFS), to include a genuine AW 169 fully customized to Rega requirements. Through RST’s unique roll-on/roll-off capabilities of the FFS, the training device may adapt to the fleet composition of Rega by exchanging the functional cockpit. The outstanding feature secures Rega’s investment for many years to come.
