Orlando, Fla., November 25, 2009 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training & Support to provide image generators and databases for the CH-53E program. Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor for NAVAIR’s Training System Contract II (TSC II) for the U.S. Navy CH-53E CNS/ATM APT program.
Aechelon Technology will supply its new pC-NOVA™ v5.0 Image Generators for Out-of-The-Window (OTW), Night Vision Goggles (NVG) and Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) for devices to be located at MCAS New River and MCAS Miramar. Aechelon Technology will also provide multi-spectral global databases, moving models, airfields and foreign areas of interest.
Each Image Generator features five channel OTW, NVG as well as sensor channels for simulating the AN/AAQ-29A FLIR.
