St. Louis, Missouri, October 17, 2008 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a contract by The Boeing Company to provide multiple Image Generators, Database Generation System and Databases for the U.S. Navy Undergraduate Military Flight Officer (UMFO) Ground Based Training Systems (GBTS) Program. Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, one of the world’s largest space and defense businesses, is the prime contractor to the Navy for the UMFO program.
Aechelon Technology will supply its pC-NOVA™ v4.5 Image Generators featuring five QXGA OTW channels, databases and a Database Generation System. Databases will feature detailed moving models, carrier landing environment and eleven new airfields as well as twelve very high detail Low Level Routes expanding over ten states. All databases will be exported to Boeing’s own radar system.
The contract has options for five additional Image Generators and database services.
