SAN CARLOS, Calif., March 10, 2003 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. and Carbon Graphics LLC, today announced a strategic relationship under which Aechelon Technology has agreed to purchase multiple licenses of Geo^TM, Carbon Graphics’ new 3D modeling & animation package for the visual simulation market, and Carbon Graphics will use its Geo Software Developers Kit (SDK) to develop new import and export plugins for Aechelon Technology’s pC-NOVA^TM database format.

Its intuitive interface and interactive scene graph configuration capabilities will benefit Aechelon Technology and our customers. Geo is a unique product that both provides excellent support for legacy database formats and brings next-generation,
cutting-edge modeling and behavior capabilities to the table.’

Aechelon Technology will use the Geo licenses for future development of high-quality 3D data sets. Under the arrangement, Aechelon Technology will become a Geo reseller, and will distribute a special demo version of Geo with future pC-NOVA installations. The import/export plugins will be available from both parties, and will generate pC-Nova native formats. In addition, Geo’s native OpenFlight^TM & DWB^TM support will allow an easy migration path for existing databases into pC-Nova.
