San Francisco, Calif. — January 23, 2015. Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that J.F. Taylor, Inc. has awarded it a contract for an Image Generator for the P-8A Systems Integration Lab (SIL) located at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD. J.F. Taylor is the Prime Contractor for this upgrade.
Aechelon Technology will supply its pC-NOVA™ v7.0 Image Generator and will also provide global multi-spectral OTW/EO/IR databases for the tactical environment, 3D moving models, and a variety of airfields for this training device.
The P-8A is being developed for the U.S. Navy by a Boeing-led industry team that consists of CFM International, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, GE Aviation, BAE Systems and Spirit AeroSystems.
The P-8A, a derivative of the Next-Generation 737-800, is a long-range anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft capable of broad-area, maritime and littoral operations.
