Tampa, Fla., November 14, 2007 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a contract by CAE USA to provide multiple image generators and two database generation systems for the MH-60R program. CAE is the prime contractor for the MH-60R program under NAVAIR’s Training System Contract II (TSC II) and is currently under contract to design and manufacture three MH-60R/SH-60B tactical operational flight trainers (TOFTs).
Aechelon Technology will supply its pC-NOVA™ v4.0 image generators for MH-60R TOFT4 and SH-60B TOFT7, to be integrated with the host computer using the CIGI 3.1 interface. Each trainer includes two multi-channel image generators ‘ one for the operational flight trainer (OFT) and one for the weapons tactics trainer (WTT). The MH-60R OFT Image Generators feature 5 channels of high resolution out-the-window (OTW) and night vision goggle (NVG) visuals, as well as three sensor channels with LLTV, FLIR and Day TV for the AN/ASS-44C Multi-Spectral Targeting System sensor fused system. The MH-60R WTT Image Generators feature additional complete AN/ASS-44C channels. The system includes East and West Coast US and Straits of Hormuz databases, and the new World Wide Global Coastal Database.
Aechelon Technology will develop and provide the World Wide Global Coastal Database supporting global geo-specific OTW and all sensors operations.
