SAN CARLOS, Calif., June 11, 2002 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced it was awarded a contract by J.F. Taylor, Inc. to provide two 6-channel OTW visual image generators for use at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Manned Flight Simulator.
The image generator supports all of the features of Aechelon Technology’s C-NOVATM software-based runtime engine for flight training applications, and uses the same databases and ICDs. This new runtime is fully integrated with a COTS image generator to provide images for six OTW visual displays. Aechelon Technology will also provide multiple databases (US SW, US East Coast and Afghanistan) and the C-GENESISTM database generation system, to modify delivered databases or to create new databases from the US Navy’s new portable source initiative.
This award was made after an extensive live-test demonstration that included integrating with the Navy-provided host and multiple displays, including an edge-blended, collimated display.
Delivery is scheduled for early August.
