San Francisco, Calif. — 14 September 2021 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that it had been awarded a contract by Aero Simulation Inc. (ASI), for the U.S. Coast Guard HC-144B Ocean Sentry Operational Flight Trainer (OFT), Cockpit Procedures Trainer, and debrief station devices, providing Image, Sensor and Radar Data Generators as well as Global Geo-specific Databases. The HC-144B OFT features the world’s largest collimated wide Field Of View displays on a motion platform.
The HC-144B aircraft is based on the Airbus Military CN-235 and is particularly effective at locating objects in large search areas and vectoring other military, government, and first responders to these locations. The aircraft has the capability to perform aerial delivery of search and rescue equipment, such as rafts, pumps, and flares. Also, with its sophisticated command and control system, it can serve as a platform for an on-scene commander during homeland security missions.
Aechelon Technology will supply its state-of-the-art pC-NOVA Nucleus™ 8-GPU Image Generators, a true multi-spectral multi-channel compact image generator featuring Multi-GPU NVIDIA® Quadro® with a dramatically reduced footprint. The Aechelon Nucleus incorporates C4ISR grade GPU-based simulation of OTW, stimulated NVG, multi-sensor EO/IR, and Radar Data Generation for the U.S. Coast Guard ISR Platform.
The system integrates a full resolution worldwide 3D visual and sensor database with extensive domestic and foreign areas of interest. This Global database is already deployed and being used on other programs without the need of down-sampling, de-rating, or modification—thus ensuring complete correlation and commonality with all other U.S. Coast Guard fixed-wing and rotorcraft such as HC-144B, HC-27J, HC-130J, MH-60T, MH-65E1, MH-65E2, MH-65D2, and Advanced Weapons Trainer (rear MH-60T/MH-65C) devices also utilizing Aechelon Technology Image Generators.
