Aechelon Technology Receives Contract Award for Six US Army CH-47F Image Generators

San Francisco, Calif., January 9, 2011 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that it has received a contract to deliver six additional multi-channel image generators as part of an upgrade for the CH-47F Transportable Flight Proficiency Simulator from Joint Venture Yulista and SES (JVYS). JVYS is the prime contractor for the U.S. Army program.

Aechelon Technology will supply its new pC-NOVA™ v5.6 Image Generators providing 18 channels of high resolution OTW and stimulated NVG visuals. The system supports dual-input LED-based Christie Digital Systems projectors featuring simultaneous OTW and Near IR projection per projector with fully automatic calibration. Additionally the system provides fiber optics for end-to-end digital video distribution for a total of 22 video channels. The containerized trainer includes Government developed databases as well as Aechelon Technology’s undisclosed foreign databases.

Aechelon Technology was also the previous IG supplier for all six of these simulator units as part of the CH-47F program in a different configuration.
