San Francisco, Calif., — 24 August, 2011. Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that CAE USA has awarded it a contract to provide eight image generators and databases for the United States Navy MH-60R program. The MH-60R tactical operational flight trainer (TOFT) includes both an operational flight trainer (OFT) used to train pilots and co-pilots as well as a weapons tactics trainer (WTT) used to train sensor operators in the MH-60R Seahawk helicopter.
CAE is the prime contractor responsible for delivering a range of MH-60R and MH-60S training systems to the Navy. Aechelon Technology will supply its new pC-NOVA™ v5.6 Image Generators to CAE, which will integrate the visual system on four MH-60R TOFTs the company is currently developing for the Navy. Aechelon Technology will also provide global multi-spectral visual and sensor databases, 3D moving models, and a variety of airfields.
