Aechelon Technology Receives Contract for CH-53E Flight Training Device Image Generator

San Francisco, Calif. —  On May 28, 2014, Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced that, in connection with Delivery Order N61340-12-D-5201-0004, Aero Simulation, Inc. (ASI) awarded it a subcontract to provide a new image generator and existing databases currently in use by the U.S. Marine Corps. The technology will be used on a CH-53E Flight Training Device (FTD) that directly supports the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves in Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL), New River, NJ.  ASI is the program’s Prime Contractor responsible for delivering the FTD and supporting subsystems.
Aechelon Technology will supply its new pC-NOVA v6.5 Image Generator for a Multi-Channel FTD.  Aechelon Technology will also provide high fidelity multi-spectral visual and sensor databases, 3D moving models, and a variety of airfields from its extensive library already being used on existing USMC and other DoD programs.

The CH-53E Super Stallion is the largest, heaviest, and most powerful helicopter in the United States military.   The heavy-lift helicopter of the Marine Corps is essential in the transportation of heavy equipment and supplies.
