Mesa, Arizona, November 9, 2008 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a contract by L-3 Link Simulation & Training (L-3 Link) to provide six (6) Image Generators, a Database Generation System and Databases for the Air Force Research Laboratory, Warfighter Readiness Research Division (711HPW/RHA). L-3 Link is the prime contractor for the Distributed Mission Operations test bed for the Air Force Research Laboratory in Mesa, AZ.
Aechelon Technology will supply six of its pC-NOVA™ v4.5 Image Generators with each system featuring fourteen (14) channels: eight OTW channels, one FLIR, one NVG, one CCD and one third generation FLIR as well as a Helmet Mounted Cueing System channel and a debrief stealth view. Databases will feature detailed moving models, domestic and undisclosed foreign area familiarization regions.
The system will enable unrestricted and multi-spectral six-ship F-16 operation with the highest fidelity databases available.
