San Francisco, Calif., October 12, 2011 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that they have been working with The Boeing Company for two years on the continued development and demonstration of Boeing’s revolutionary Constant Resolution Visual System (CRVS). CRVS newest visual display, delivers an immersive environment by providing a high-resolution “out-the-window” view for training systems and for general visualization applications .

Boeing is building CRVS to be vendor independent but has been working closely with leading Image Generator suppliers to eliminate risk to early adopters of CRVS technology. Boeing is currently working with Aechelon Technology to further advance their state-of-the-art visual system displays, as well as Image Generator (IG) and Database (DB) technology during Boeing’s CRVS prototyping and demonstration phase.

“The visual limitation on trainers has existed for too many years, but now with the availability of ultra-high resolution displays coupled with high quality image generation and databases, the training and mission capabilities for the U.S. Warfighter can be expanded in the simulator” said Javier Castellar, Aechelon Technology Director of Programs.

CRVS is unique because it offers the same high resolution throughout the entire viewing area, providing an uninterrupted field of view and unvarying target acuity with near eye-limiting performance everywhere. The design is based on the principles of simplicity and increased performance making it more detailed and effective for a wide range of fast jet and rotor-wing cockpits.
