Aechelon Technology’s pC-NOVA Accepted for Use in Air Force Research Lab’s Distributed Mission Operations Testbed

SAN CARLOS, Calif., March 15, 2003 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today the acceptance of a pC-NOVATM Image
Generator (eight channels OTW, plus sensor channel) for use in the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Distributed Mission Operations Testbed at Mesa Research Site, AZ. The image generator was installed and integrated in the DMO Testbed late January 2003; the delivery includes US Southwest (1024km x 1024km) visual and correlated materials databases.

‘This image generator upgrade for Viper 3 will enable multi-ship NVG training for the first time in the Distributed Mission Operations Testbed,’ said Dr. Elizabeth Martin, director of the Night Vision Device Training Program.
The pC-NOVA image generator supports all of the features of Aechelon Technology’s C-NOVATM software-based runtime engine for flight training applications, and uses the same databases and ICDs. pC-NOVA uses no custom parts and is comprised strictly of commodity PC components.
