Aechelon Technology Receives Contract from TRU Simulation in support of the US Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Division’s Multi-Engine Training System (METS) Ground Based Training Systems (GBTS) Simulator Program

South San Francisco, Calif. – May 12, 2024 — Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today TRU Simulation has awarded a contract to Aechelon Technology in support of the US Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Division’s (NAWCTSD) Multi-Engine Training System (METS) Ground Based Training System (GBTS) Simulator Program.

The contract will provide Image Generators and Visual Databases to the program for realistic flight training for student military aviators using the T-54A METS aircraft. The initial order will include image generators and visual databases for three Unit Training Devices (UTDs) and one Operational Fight Trainer (OFT). The work will be accomplished at the TRU Simulation facility in Lutz, Florida, and the Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi in Texas.
